Related interests in breaking the bounds of conventional graffiti and street art its status as non – idealized, worked physical object (fence) in a world on the other side of fence being of real work and physical objects.
The mastery of huge matter and vast space (fence being 50 meters long) emphasized its own materialism becoming art dominant. The works are not revolutionary or Avant-garde. The drive for greater art immediacy of impact, the effect seems similar as pop-art ghost works of 40 years ago. Unlike pop-art with its use of imagery from mass media, these artist works here contained no imagery.
The echoes of bright colors from mid twentieth-century, avant-garde notably - Fernando Leger, Frank Stella, Joan Mitchell, Jasper Johns, all these guys worked on huge scales as pop-artist. The intensity of the paint itself is initially striking and deceptively simple geometric angle forms of composition and bright color tones provide viewer a successful aesthetic experience. However far too many old pop-art lines in the works that rate as no more than old hat-passed used by date. These works tell us nothing new. The art work since destroyed fence removed.(CCN传媒图片网 何赛娇)
